"Wow, That's so cool" was my reaction when I acknowledged that The A star (the new alto)
will be manufactured in India and distributed all over the world. In the rise of the rupee depreciation due to the constantly falling markets, this is one of the things that brings a smile back on ones face. An estimated figure of around one lakh units of the Maruti A star will cater to the European markets under the Suzuki badge. However, the car will be manufactured in our very own backyard the company's Manesar facility in Haryana.

Aesthetic! As far as looks are concern, A-star(new alto) looks very good and having decent space too. There can be no doubting that Maruti Suzuki has produced a robust, good-looking, practical, and cheap-to-run car. For a start, it's a much better-looking thing than the small Suzukis we've known before. The oversized headlights, prominent radiator grille and the added 'wedge' to the car's bodyside give it a modern, cheeky look, and an abundance of visual appeal. This car has character.

Our roads will soon welcome the arrival of the new Maruti A Star. It has been designed by Rajesh Kumar Gogu and Saurabh Singh of Maruti Suzuki India in conjunction with Suzuki of Japan. The five-door hatchback has been engineered by taking European trends and standards into consideration. In the words of Shinzo Nakanishi, the managing director of Suzuki Motor Corporation, the car will be produced from the company's Manesar facility in Haryana, by the end of October this year. The car will have an all-new Euro 5-compliant 1.0-litre aluminium petrol engine with CO2 emissions lower than those of European competitors. It has a bold design language with strong lines and large wheel arches. Clever packaging means a five-door model is on the cards, suggesting interior space will be good.
